Gardai look into shooting report

Gardai are looking into reports that a car was shot at a number of times on the fringes of Limerick City Thursday afternoon.

The incident is believed to have happened at around 4pm at Barry’s Cross.Reports say a number of shots were fired the car from a gunman on a motorbike. No complaint was given to Gardai in relation to the possible attack.

Radio reports today say that a man, living in cratloe Co. Clare, was collecting his daughter from a crèche near Barry Cross when a gunman pulled up to his car and fired at least three shots into the vehicle.

There were no reported injuries.
