Limerick man in court over false passport
A Limerick man has been arrested at Cork airport after he was found to possessing a false passport.
Gerard Dundon with an address at Hyde Avenue in Limerick city was stopped by Gardai yesterday as he attempted to board a flight to Amsterdam.
The 21 year old, believed by Gardai to be a leading member of a south side crime gang, appeared at a special sitting of Cork district court this morning.
At the hearing this morning the court heard how he told Gardai at the time of his arrest that he carries a false passport ‘for protection’.
Mr. Dundon was further remanded in custody to appear again on Monday.
