::Limerick Institute of Technology has been highly praised in a new national survey of third level colleges. LIT came 11th in the national list of colleges, but was top of league of Institutes of Technologies following a “strong performance in several assessment criteria”. More Here.

::In the continuing crackdown on criminal activity in Limerick the Criminal Assets Bureau have frozen over €150,000 in the credit union accounts of two “respectable” Limerick people. Gardai believe criminal gangs may be duping people into minding their dirty money for them. More Here.
