Afghan hunger strike over

Gardai have removed the Afghan hunger strikers from St Patrick's Cathedral in Dublin, according to RTE.

All 38 people were removed.They left in the presence of the Gardai who had entered the cathedral in mass .Reports say they did not resist arrest.

The Gardai launched their operation after 9.30pm and took over an hour to complete.
