Limerick Hit and Run:Gardai interview suspect

According to the tonight's Limerick chronicle, Gardai have interviewed the suspected driver of a motorcycle which knocked down and seriously injured a 2 year old child in Thomandgate last Saturday night.

The incident,first reported by this blog , happened at 8pm on the Quarry Rd.The driver fled the scene and a major Garda Search was initiated with the aid of the Garda Helicopter to catch the suspect.

The baby was rushed to the Limerick Regional Hospital where his current condition is said to be "comfortable".

Gardai confirmed,"We are investigating the incident and will be interviewing the suspect later today".
