Four injured in county smashes

A busy last few hours on Limerick roads has left a total of 4 people with injuries in region hospitals.

A man and a woman were both slightly injured when the car in which they were travelling, crashed near Rourkes Cross on the main Limerick to Cork road. The section of the road was closed most of the night while gardai carried out technical examinations.

One person was also injured in a three car crash on the Tipperary Road during the morning rush commute. The injured person was taken to Limerick regional hospital with minor injuries.

Finally a truck driver sustained minor injuries after his truck overturned on the N69 between Kildimo and Pallaskenry. He was taken to Limerick regional hospital.
