Teens released after pellet gun incident

Gardai have released without charge, two teenagers who were bring held in relation to an incident in Limerick last evening.

Gardai received reports at around 5pm Saturday evening that shots had been fired near Westbury Stores in Corbally and quickly descended on the area.

The two male teenagers were arrested without incident and Gardai recovered two pellet guns on their person. Both were held at Mayorstone Garda station under Section 30 of the Offences against the state act but were released without charge overnight.

A file is being prepared for the DPP.

Meanwhile, a man arrested after guns and a quantity of ammunition were found at a house in St. Marys Park last Friday has likewise been released without charge. A file is being prepared for the DPP in this case also.
