Man in court charged with stepfathers killing

A Limerick man has been released on bail after he appeared in court today charged with the manslaughter of his own stepfather.

26 year old Damien O'Grady (seen right) appeared at Limerick District court Thursday accused of unlawfully killing 46-year-old Stephen O’Grady at a house on Lenihan Avenue last November 29th. The retired army corporal was killed following a domestic argument in the early hours of the morning.

Speaking to the judge, Det Garda Paul Madden told of how the accused made no reply when charged on Wednesday morning.

There was no Garda objection to bail with Mr. O’Grady ordered by Judge Tom O'Donnell to sign on three times a week at Roxboro Garda station.
