Limerick men held following attempted robbery in Clare

Three Limerick men are being detained at Co. Clare Garda stations following an attempted robbery at a house in Clare Wednesday night.

Gardai rushed to the scene of the incident at Sixmilebridge around 1am where it’s believed three men had entered a house, one armed with an iron bar. Radio reports say one of the men threatened a young girl in her bedroom before assaulting her father and leaving the house.

Gardai were able to apprehend the men early this morning.

The three men all from Limerick city and in their 20’s are being held at Ennis and Shannon Garda stations in connection with the incident.
