118 jobs confirmed lost at Flextronics plant
118 jobs will be lost at the Flextronics plant in Limerick by Christmas it was revealed Saturday.
SIPTU members working at the plant were told the news at a special meeting which was convened today. Initial reports this week said that a 100 of the 290 jobs at the plant were to be lost.
Local radio reports today said the cuts at the plant will begin in 2 weeks.
Meanwhile the Limerick Blogger reports 65 voluntary redundancies are being sought at the RR Donnelly plant in Raheen.
