Body of man pulled from river Shannon

The body of a man in his 50's has been pulled from the shannon river in Limerick. He was found around 7:45am this morning by Limerick Marine Search and Rescue.

The man was not seen entering the water but Gardai believe he was not in the river for a long period of time and say they are following a definite line in inquiry in relation to his identity.

Gardai are appealing for anyone that may have seen anything to come forward.
