Funeral held for Keith Ryan

The funeral has taken place of Keith Ryan.

Mr Ryan was beaten to death on Thursday night under the Shannon bridge in Limerick city.Gardai say he was involved in an "altercation". Speaking at the service Canon Michael Liston spoke of the shock felt by the local community.He said,

On hearing of the death of Keith , so many people have felt it is all so sad.They felt deeply for his father and his family and others who love him"

The victims brother also addressed the congregation.

You didn't fall alone, we will get back on our feet and stand tall with you.Take care keith and look down on us from time to time.You will never be forgotten.Bye for now.

Two men were charged in relation to his death.
