Was he thrown off the bridge?

Jimmy Woulfe the Mid-West Correspondent for the Irish examiner is reporting that gardai are working on a theory that Keith Ryan may have been thrown from the shannon bridge down to the location where he was found dead.

One theory being followed by gardai is that Mr Ryan may have been thrown from the bridge onto the bank about 20 feet below after the attack.

There is a pedestrian stepway beside the bridge leading to the area where the body was found.

The victim was seen being attacked by at least one other person and this continued for about 100 yards along the footpath leading from Condell Road onto the bridge.

The investigation continues.Three men being held in in relation to the murder will have to be charged or released today.
