Fatality after county crash


A 26 year old man has been killed and at two others injured after a high speed road traffic accident in County Limerick this morning.

The two car accident occurred on the main road between Bruff and Kilmallock around 9.00am this morning. Emergency services rushed to the scene. The young man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of one of the second car, another man in his twenties has been taken to the Mid Western Regional Hospital in Dooradoyle.

The main Bruff to Kilmallock road is closed in both directions.

NEW DETAILS: RTE News picked up the story at 10.56am reporting that the dead person was a man.

He was named late Sunday night as John Buckley from Kilfinane, Co Limerick
