Funerals of Garda and Fireman today
The funerals will take place today of the Garda and Fireman killed Sunday after they were struck by a car near Foynes.
Garda Brian Kelleher, of Upper Quartertown outside Mallow, Co Cork, will be buried at 12 noon at the Church of the Holy Trinity in Dromin.It is expected to be a full state funeral. The Garda Commissioner Noel Conroy will be in attendance.
Minister for State at the Department of the Environment Batt O'Keeffe, will be in attendance for the funeral of Firefighter Michael Liston. He will be buried in Foynes.
Both men were married with children.
Books of condolences have been opened at Croom Garda station and Foynes fire station.
