Limerick drug courier jailed at Criminal Court
A Limerick man who was caught transporting drugs for a major regional criminal has been jailed today at the Circuit Criminal Court in Dublin.
26-year-old John Costello from Hennessy Avenue, Kileely, was sentenced today to 12 years in jail after the court was told how he was apprehended by Gardai in Co Laoise on September 1st as he and another man were transporting 3 kg of amphetamine tablets worth €45,000 for sale or supply.
He had pleaded guilty at an earlier stage in the trial. Gardai say the drugs seized in their car were destined for the Limerick and Clare area
