Limerick East TD given junior ministry role

A Limerick East TD has been appointed as a junior minister of state in Taoiseach Brian Cowen's new junior cabinet team.

Peter Power has been appointed at the Department of Foreign Affairs where he will take on the responsibility for Overseas Aid.

Speaking to the Limerick Leader a short time ago, Mr. Power said,

"I will continue to work tirelessly for the people of Limerick and this appointment will ensure that Limerick is well served by two Ministers."
