Castletroy street fight leaves 3 injured

Three people were left with injuries following a serious fracas which occurred in Castletroy Sunday afternoon.

Gardai were alerted around 2.30pm to reports of an incident involving a group of men at Elm Park close to the Hurlers pub. Garda units and ambulances were sent to the scene and two men ,both believed to be polish nationals aged 26 and 30 were removed to the mid western regional hospital for treatment. Another man did not require hospital treatment.

Gardai are investigating the circumstances surrounding the assaults and no arrests have been made.
