Three in court for running Clancy’s Strand brothel

Three women have appeared in court in Limerick charged in connection with the alleged operation of a brothel.

Brazilians 40 year old Maria Da Silva, 32 year old Joiceline Costas Dos Santos and 31 year old Ana Christina Dos Santos appeared on front of Judge Tom O Donnell at Limerick District Court last night charged with running the brothel at an apartment on Clancy’s Strand.

The Chronicle reports of how Garda Inspector Seamus Gallagher told the judge that inquiries into the bank account of Maria Da Silva were at “an early stage” and requested the case be adjourned until Wednesday. He also said that the case “might be complicated” because of what Gardai found on the premises when it was raided.

All three were remanded in custody until tomorrow.
