Andy Lee added to big O2 boxing event

It’s being reported that Andy Lee has been added to the undercard of the World Title Fight Night event at The O2, Dublin on Saturday March 21st.

The Limerick man was very disappointed after his scheduled main event fight at the "Erin Go Brawl II" boxing event at Madison Square Garden, NY was cancelled due to poor ticket sales.

Dublin boxer Bernard Dunne will top the bill as he challenges for Ricardo Cordoba’s WBA Super Bantamweight title on Satarday week.

Lee told East Side Boxing today,

“As one door closed, another door opened for me within 24 hours. Brian Peters Promotions stepped in to save the day after an initial phone call from my team. To be fighting on the undercard to Bernard Dunne in his quest to win a World Title in Dublin is a great honour for me. The Irish are the best sport supporters in the world, the atmosphere will be electrifying”

Tickets for the event are still available from Ticketmaster and are priced from €50 to €225.
