Man arrested in relation to 2003 murder

A man appeared before Limerick District court Sunday charged with withholding information about a murder which took place in 2003.

Andrew Nolan who is 26-year-old and from Ash Avenue was arrested by Limerick GardaĆ­ early Sunday Morning after he came back to the country. He is being held in relation to the murder of Michael Campbell McNamara.

Mr McNamara's body was discovered in a field in the Southill area in October of 2003
A burnt out car belonging to him was found in the Fedamore area outside Limerick the next day. The McCarthy-Dundon gang is suspected of carrying out the murder according to the Examiner.
