House for Murray family before Christmas

Limerick City council have told the Limerick Leader tonight that they are confident they will have a new home for the Murray family in time for Christmas

Shelia Murray along with six of her kids including her 6 year old daughter Mille and 4 year old son Gavin, was forced to flee her Pineview Gardens house in October when the windows of the house were smashed in by rocks and bricks. Their car was also smashed in the attack by a group of men.

Pat Dowling who is the Director of services of the Council Housing department told the Leader,

“Since that date we have been looking at various different alternatives with the family. We want to provide a decent house for the family. I am not in a position to confirm anything yet but we are confident that we will have a house for them before Christmas.”
Rumours that Euromillions Jackpot winner Dolores McNamara had bought the family a house in Killaloe have been rubbished by the paper.
