Limerick You’re A Star hopefuls 'in it to win it'

Two Limerick hopefuls taking part in RTE’s You’re A Star apparently stand a good chance of winning the entire show.

16-year-old Maeve O'Donovan from Clare but a student at a Limerick school and 27-year-old Account Manager Richie McCoy from Shelbourne Road are in the running according to Paddy Power Bookmaker Sharon McHugh,

They are doing very well, Richie McCoy in particular, he performed brilliantly last week and he’s right up there. He’s 3rd favorite at the moment just behind Andrew Grafton and 21 demands at 5 to 1.

The two hopefuls made it through last weeks round of the reality TV music contest last week and will vie again tonight for a place in next weeks show.

The show broadcasts tonight at 6.30pm on RTE One.
