Drug courier awaits sentence

Sentencing in the case of a Limerick drug courier has been adjourned at the Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.

26-year-old John Costello from Hennessy Avenue, Kileely, was apprehended by Gardai in Co Laoise on September 1st as he and another man were transporting 3 kg of amphetamine tablets worth €45,000.

He had pleaded guilty at an earlier stage in the trial. Gardai say the drugs seized in their car were destined for the Limerick and Clare area.
