Man killed in county crash

A man has been killed in a road accident in Co. Limerick this morning.

The victim, a 74 year old retired Garda, was involved in a single vehicle crash on the R512 Bruff to Killmallock Road around 10.00am.He was the only cccupant of the car.

Gardai have said the road will remain closed until at least 2pm while technical examinations are carried out. Diversions are currently in place.
