Two held followng gun and ammo seizure

Two people have been arrested following the discovery of a firearm and ammunition at locations in Ballynanty Wednesday morning.

A woman thought to be in her 30’s was arrested by Gardai at one property where 350 rounds of ‘assorted’ ammunition was discovered in a planned raid. At a second dwelling Gardai arrested a man in his 20’s following the discovery of a .38 calibre handgun.

Both are being held and questioned by Gardai at Mayorstone Garda Station.
