Rockhill boil water alert lifted
A water notice issued by Limerick County Council last week for the Rockhill area of East Limerick has been lifted.
Around 340 people in 153 domestic and non-domestic connections were affected by the alert which was issued last Wednesday after council officials identified E-Coli in the water supply.
Testing by the authority’s laboratory staff has shown that the water being produced in the areas water treatment plant is now meeting drinking water standards.
The areas affected by the public water notice were Ballyteige Upper, Ballyfookeen, Howardstown North, Cappanafaraha, Ballywillin, Ballyclough Upper, Ballyinoran, Garryfine, Knockaunavoddig, Garrane, Ballynoe, Mounteagle and Lotteragh Upper.
A boil water notice remains in effect for the Pallasgreen area.
