Man dies, four injured in Ballingarry crash


A man has died and four others were left injured in a road crash Friday evening in County Limerick, the second death on Limericks roads in 24 hours.

The 25 year old was killed in the crash between a jeep and a car near Ballingarry around 9pm on Ballingarry to Newcastle West road, not far from the village’s creamery.

The four injured, a mother and her three children were transferred to hospital with minor injuries.The road was closed for a time while Gardai examined the scene but has now reopened.

Radio reports say the victim was from Adare and living in Ballingarry .
