Four injured following Woodcock hill crash


At least four people have been injured, two seriously, following a road traffic accident just outside Limerick city Tuesday evening.

Emergency services including three units of Limerick City Fire service responded to reports of a car accident at Punchbowl, near Woodcock Hill around 7.45pm.

Two people were cut from the wreckage by the fire service and transported to the Mid Western Regional Hospital. One of the injured, a 20 year old man is reported by NewsTalk radio to be in a critical condition.

AA Roadwatch reports the road to Woodcock Hill from the Old Cratloe Road remains closed and diversions are in place while technical examinations are carried out.
