Two questioned in Moloney murder inquiry

Gardai have confirmed that they are questioning two men in relation to the murder of Mark Moloney who was shot dead in April of this year.

The two men, one in his 20’s the other in his 40’s, are being held at Henry Street Garda station under section 30 of the offences against the state act. Local radio reports say the men are suspected of withholding information in relation to the gangland murder.

40 year old Mark Moloney was shot dead near his home in Garryowen on April 5th. 18-year-old Stephen O’Sullivan has already been charged with the murder of Mr. Moloney.

Both men being detained today can be held for up to 72 hours.
