Gardai recover loaded shotgun, two arrested

Gardai investigating gangland activity in Limerick have arrested two men following the discovery of a loaded shotgun in the city.

Gardai discovered the weapon and detained the two men after noticing suspicious activity in the Greenhill’s road area of Garryowen late last night. Gardai later recovered a number of shotgun cartages in a follow up search of a vehicle.

Local radio reports both men, aged 19 and 25, are being held at Henry street Garda station.
