Gardai detain gang member on committal warrant
Gardai arrested a senior member of a Limerick criminal gang Wednesday evening.
21 year old Gerard Dundon, a notorious member of the McCarthy Dundon gang was arrested on foot of a committal warrant.
In August Mr. Dundon was jailed for nine months after pleading guilty to three charges in relation to the possession of a false passport.
Meanwhile Gardai investigating the murder of Shane Geoghegan have raided some properties as part of their enquiries.

Gardai secured court warrants to carry out wide-scale house searches as the hunt for the killers intensified.
Search teams went through houses occupied by known associates of the McCarthyDundon gang who are suspected of the murder. While there were no arrests, some property was taken away for forensic examination.
