Man stabbed in Castletroy

Gardai are investigating a stabbing incident which occurred last night in the Castletroy area.

RTE reports that a man in his twenties did not suffer and life threatening injuries in the confrontation however he was taken to the Mid Western Regional Hospital.

No one as of yet has been arrested.

The victim was injured after a row broke out between two men in a house in Castletroy View at around 9pm on Sunday.He was taken by ambulance to the Mid Western Regional Hospital, where his injuries were described as not life threatening. Gardaí are believed to have interviewed both men yesterday and an investigation is underway.
