Suburban Residents object to Murray family moving in- Report

Earlier on in the week it was reported that Limerick City Council was determined to find a new home for the Murray family who left their Pineview Gardens house after they came under attack in October.

A report in today’s Irish Examiner is claiming that residents of a well-off area of a Limerick suburb have allegedly objected to the re-housing of the family to their area.

Examiner reporter Jimmy Woulfe says “reliable sources” in Limerick are informing him that the Council has found a home for the family in a well off area but have met opposition from locals.

Neither the council nor the Murray family would comment on this latest development but head of housing Pat Dowling reiterated his pledge,

“I am determined to have a suitable home for Sheila Murray and her children in time for Christmas”
