Extra Garda for quiet suburban area

The Raheen and Dooradoyle area of Limerick is to get a second community Garda ,The Post reports.

Local Labour councillor Deirdre Ni Chinneide told the paper that the extra Garda “was badly needed”.

“Our existing community Garda has been doing a great job. But it was clear that one community Garda for this huge area was just not enough. I am delighted for the people of Raheen/Dooradoyle because it is something that they have been campaigning for since I got elected.”

Badly needed?.. Oh yes it must have been over all the burnt out cars, petrol bomb attacks on kids and shootings going on out there every night…please!
