'Thousands' of homes without water

Thousands of homes in Limerick are without water today as Limerick City Council continue to try and repair a ‘major break’ in the water distribution system according to local radio.

Parts of north side of the city, Corbally and parts of Clare have been affected by the break.

Council officials say water should be back by late afternoon.
