Dead body found in Limerick
Limerick Gardai have launched an investigation after a body of a man was found at a house in the Hyde Road area of Limerick City.
Reports say the body of the man, discovered today in a vacant house, may have been there for up to six months.
Foul play has been ruled out and a technical examination of the scene is being completed. Gardai have described the death as ‘tragic’. His body is expected to be removed to the Mid Western Regional Hospital later this evening.
Gardai have yet to establish his identity.

The man, who was in his late 50s, was in the process of moving out of his flat and transferring to a council house when he was last seen alive about six months ago.
Concern was raised when he fell into arrears with his rent. The deceased was living in Hyde Flats in Ballinacurra Weston, which are due to be demolished.
