Man injured in city center stabbing

A teenager has been injured after a stabbing in Limerick City Center Saturday evening.

The victim is believed to have been stabbed after an altercation at the Arthur’s Quay shopping centre complex around 4.30pm.

He managed to make his way to the Cruises Street junction where Firefighters taking part in a fund raising event treated him with first aid before he was transferred to hospital by ambulance. The victim is reported to be a 17 year old male.

Gardai at Henry Street are investigating and can be contacted by anyone with information in relation to the event at 212400. Gardai have made no arrests.
