Woman dies in Charleville accident

A woman has died after she was struck by a car on the main Limerick to Cork Road in Charleville this afternoon.

The woman who is reported to be in her 60’s was knocked down on the main N20 just before 3pm. Emergency services remain at the scene.

The road is closed at Main Street in Charleville following the collision. Diversions are in place and motorists should avoid the town or expect major delays.
