Woman rescued from river Shannon
A woman was rescued from the river Shannon by Gardai this morning.
A guest staying at the Clarion Hotel on Steamboat Quay is believed to have spotted the woman entering the river shortly before 10am and alerted emergency services.
Fire service units, Gardai and the Marine search and Rescue boat were sent to the scene and the woman, thought to be in her 20’s was pulled from the river.
The woman suffered no serious injuries and is said to be in a comfortable condition at the Mid Western Regional Hospital.
