Fire rages at car sales and repair center

A fire has ripped through a car service and repairs centre on the Ballysimon Road causing severe damage, NewsWire has learned.

At least 3 units of Limerick City Fire Service responded to the blaze at the ‘Orange Motors’ mechanics facility which is situated in the Monoclino Industrial estate just off Childers Road around 1am Monday morning.

Numerous cars at the centre were damaged or destroyed in the blaze.

No word at this stage on what caused the fire.
