Man injured in west Limerick crash

One person has been injured in a road traffic accident in county Limerick this afternoon.

Emergency services responded to reports of a single vehicle collision on the Ardagh Road near Newcastle West around midday.

Ambulance services removed one man from the car and he has been taken to the Mid Western Regional Hospital with minor injuries.

AA Roadwatch has been warning of very icy road conditions around the mid west early this morning.
