Limerick man missing 9 years today

A fresh appeal has been made for any information on the whereabouts of a Limerick man who is missing 9 years today.
Aengus Shanahan disappeared on February 11th, 2000 after a night out with friends in Limerick City.
The young man known as 'Gussie' and from Ashbrook on the Ennis Road was last seen on cctv that night leaving the then Coopers Bar on Joseph Street at 11.30pm.

“He was born in 1980 and is 5ft 10 inches and walks with a slight stoop forward: eye colour is blue. He was wearing dark blue jeans with a blue top and a red, white and blue adidas jacket. If you have any information please contact the Gardaí at Henry St.”The missing mans cousin, Fr.Aquinas Duffy said this week on a missing persons website he set up following the disappearance,
“Wednesday (11 February) is the ninth anniversary of the disappearance of Aengus (Gussie) Shanahan from Limerick.
