Limerick student dies in freak Cork accident
A Limerick student has been killed in a freak accident in Co Cork Monday evening.
The 21 year old Kevin Malone, from Castletroy was apparently killed when he was crushed between a car and a wall at Westbourne Park, off Magazine Road in Cork city.
Reports say the young man was trying to stop a car which began rolling off its handbrake when he became trapped against the wall. It’s reported he was on his own at the time of the incident which happened around 5pm not far from UCC.
He was rushed to hospital suffering severe injuries however he died a short time later. Gardai are expected to carry out technical examinations at the scene of the accident today.
Mr. Malone was a law student at UCC.

Reposing at Thompson's Funeral Home, Thomas Street this Wednesday evening from 4pm to 6pm followed by removal to Monaleen Church, Castletroy. Requiem Mass tomorrow, Thursday, at 1pm. Funeral afterwards to Kilmurry Cemetery.
