Carlton group to take over Castletroy park hotel

The Castletroy Park Hotel is to reopen shortly after a deal was struck with Carlton Hotel Group to take over the hotel.

In a statement tonight this evening Michael Kearney, chairman of the Carlton group said,

“We are particularly aware of the distress caused by the closure of the hotel to those who had booked weddings and events and would like to assure all customers that we will be in contact as soon as possible to confirm booking details."

The hotel is expected to reopen within the next 10 days and is to be renamed the 'Carlton Castletroy Park Hotel', employing 120 staff.

The hotel is one of the largest hotels in Limerick and had gone into liquidation last week citing trading difficulties.
