Occupants attacked in aggravated burglary

An aggravated burglary on a house in Limerick Saturday night has left its occupants with minor injuries.

Local radio reports that residents of a house on the South Claughaun Road, Garryowen were confronted by two raiders who assaulted them and then proceeded to flee the scene with an undisclosed amount of money. The incident is reported to have occurred around 3.30am.

The scene was preserved for technical examination by investigating Gardai and anyone with information that may be able to help Gardai are asked to contact them on (061) 212427.
