Person tries to throw dog from moving vehicle

People out in Raheen were witness to a horrendous sight on Sunday when someone attempted to throw a dog out of a moving vehicle.

The person ended up pulling over and dragging the dog out of the car, abandoning him at the side of the road. LAW (Limerick Animal Welfare) was called and the dog was taken into care and the welfare is now appealing for a home for the 10 month old brown Spaniel Labrador cross, Charlie.

Niamh Allen, Vice Chairperson of LAW told the Limerick Leader that “Unfortunately this sort of thing happens quite often. If people cannot keep a dog for whatever reason they could call a vet or us”.

The dog sustained no injuries from the ordeal.Anyone interested in Charlie should contact LAW on 061 336740.
