Driver has brand new Taxi stolen in Southill

A Limerick taxi driver is currently having a crappy Christmas after his brand new 06 taxi was stolen while he was on a call in Southill.

The Leader reports that the driver was in the South side estate on Saturday night delivering flowers to a house when a number of youths took his two week old car.

Co-workers of the driver, who incidentally is now in Spain trying to salvage the holidays, said the car is probably a total write-off,

“It was an appalling crime, especially at Christmas, and one you would not wish on your worst enemy. The car was his pride and joy and he is absolutely devastated”
Gardai at Roxboro are appealing for anyone with information to come forward and to contact them on 061-214340.
