Fire destroys city house
A house has been destroyed and another adjoining house has been seriously damaged after a major fire broke out today.
The houses on Oliver Plunkett Street in the Saint Mary’s Park area caught fire around 3.00pm this afternoon.
Three units of Limerick City fire brigade attended the incident and battled the fire for nearly two hours before declaring it extinguished just after 5.00pm.
The cause of the blaze was not immediately known however it is thought to have started accidentally.
