Heroin seized in Ballynanty raid

Gardai confirmed today that €50,000 worth of heroin was recovered after planned raid on a house in Ballynanty yesterday.

A man and a woman both in their late teens were arrested at the scene in the north of the city and brought to Mayorstone Garda Station for questioning.

They were released without charge this morning and a file is being sent to the DPP.

Local radio reports the drugs have been sent to Garda HQ for forensic tests.
